I'm not so impressed with this wine. It seems to have an oxidized note to it. The fact that this is the 2nd bottle in a row with a defect makes me think that it is the winemaking.
My first impression of this bottle is that it is defective. Mulshy on the nose and in the mouth. The fruits are still strong with good acid and average tannins. I'll let it air a little. Nope. This wine is corked. I took it back to Karstadt and they replaced it with no questions. I am always pleased these days when I get a defective bottle, because it gives me a chance to hone my detection skills and learn more.
