The Shiraz is a more elegant style than the 'blockbuster' Clare reds we are used to; it's finely structured and very concentrated with lots of blueberry and blackberry fruit flavours. There are plenty of fine, ripe tannins and lots of freshness in these wines. We will continue to use a blend of American and French oak to mature our reds this year, but French will predominate in these naturally elegant wines.
