Almost opaque wine. An imposing concentration of ripe fruits mixed with smoky undertones. Firm tannins are hidden by the richness of the fruits and its balancing acidity. A powerful wine.
Das Jahr 2002 war ein sehr vorteilhafter Jahrgang für die Rebsorte Cabernet Sauvignon. Da ist es natürlich kein Wunder, dass der Lynch Bages meisterhaft gelungen ist! Das Ergebnis ist absolut legendär. Ein tintenschwarzer Wein, der sich mit intensiven Aromen von Heidelbeeren, eingemachten Früchten und einem Duft von Himbeermarmelade zur Schau stellt. Freuen Sie sich auf einen wunderschönen Wein, massiv im Gaumen, mundig-gefällig, weich und sehr schmackhaft. Ein zauberhafter Tropfen mit einem immensen Lagerpotential.

The palate is well-balanced, with lush rounded black fruits, no harsh edges and a certain decadence and sophistication. A very good wine for the vintage. (21/25) Then after bottling at the UGC in Oct-04. The nose has evolved: open-knit, meaty. The palate is open-knit, quite sweet, but lacking a little grip.
Surprisingly forward with moderate acidity but it builds towards the finish. Not quite as good as before, but I think this will turn the corner in a couple of years. (20/25)
