Guess: #9 I mistook for the St. Laurent
Dark purple red. Cloudy. Big legs 3/4. The nose is partly open, with slight notes of vanilla along with blackberries and something that reminds me of the bush. I was tempted to class this as the Sth African Shiraz. Full bodied, high in tannins with fairly good acid. In the mouth it is harsh and dry. The fruit is subdued, dark berries is all I can say. There is something vegetal about it. Medium tannin dominated finish. Overall this just seems more old world to me.
