The nose has lush ripe fruit and lots of spice - quite typical for a claret. Flavours are also lush, with firm but fine tannins and delicate acids. For my palate it's a little bit light bodied, which comes accross slightly watery. Others will find it hefty probably. Medium length toasted fruity finish. I could go for a case or two of these.

Slight barnyard on the nose, but still very cool. (I mistakenly placed this in the coldest section of the wine fridge). I can also detect pepper and blackberries. Pretty classic Bordeaux. It's great watching this wine open up. In the mouth there are nice strong tannins, rich toasted blackberries and a little stewed plum. Nice balance with acid. Long puckery finish. Great aging potential. Impressive for the price I paid.
