Wine Details

Dark ruby red with a cloudy complexion. Rich blackberries, pepper and cigar box on the nose, so classic cabernet notes. Young and tannic in the mouth, subdued fruit and tangy acid following. Only just opened and too cool so I'll give it a while to develop. Two hours later there is a noticable difference. Very classic Bordeaux tasting with good balance of fruit and terrior. Tannins have softened.

Deep garnet red in complexion. After two hours airing the nose is still quite closed. Soft notes of dark berries, cedar box and pepper spice. Quite austere in the mouth. Rich sour blackberries. Great acid, slightly mild tannins. Nice long finish. This wine is savoury and complex. Almost balanced, but the tannins let it down a little.

Another hour later the wine has opened out nicely. There are now interesting aromas of dry earth. In the mouth the tannins have warmed up and are now providing much better balance. Still sour and dry, but I like it.
