Dark ruby red. Very intense nose with strong vanila, cassis and tobacco. Coarse tannins, puckering up the mouth. Quite jammy. There is a long, tannic finish, chewy in the mouth. Also hot with alcohol. I can see many liking this. For me it comes across unbalanced.
Purpurrot, Schwarze Johannisbeere satt, Zigarrenkiste im Hintergrund, marmeladig, Dörrobst, ein "Fruchthammer" (gerade so an der Grenze meines Geschmacks), angenehme Tannine, weich, rund und sehr ausgeglichen, lang anhaltender Abgang, ein Toppwein. ★★★★★

Begins with a touch of sawdust, but that quickly morphs into cinnamon and spice. Of course, there’s bulky dark fruit to offset it. In the mouth, we’re talking black plum and berry fruit in spades, while the feel is tight and right, with serious tannins. A generous wine, one that represents Chile and Colchagua positively.
