Wine Details

Deep cloudy red, with an inviting glow to it. The nose is initally quite closed. Dry straw and a light note of stewed cauliflower. Strong acid but not astringent. The fruit is definitely roasted blackberries, more sour than sweet. The tannins are quite rustic. Very long tangy, roasted fruit finish. This wine has a little personal character, which I like to see. Perhaps the fruit could be a better represented.

Its big, rich nose of melted licorice, truffles, black currants, plums, and cherries is followed by a full-bodied wine with amazing concentration, beautiful sweet fruit, and admirable richness. This wine represents incredible value for the money.

Intense ruby-red with violet reflections. The scent of plums comes through on the nose. Full-bodied and velvety with a perfect balance between the flavors of plum and woodberries. Hints of licorice persist in the finish. It is recommended that this wine have some time to open before drinking. Excellent with richly flavored dishes, particularly meats, small game and aged cheeses.
