Medium dark red. Nice welcoming warm dark berries on the nose. More of a strawberry note than the Nederberg. I also get cream and white pepper. As it opens up I'm reminded of an old dusty attic. Good but simplistic balance of flavours in the mouth. There is a cooked vegetative note like boiled black tea leaves. Finish is a bit wobbly with tart acids. Overall a bit thin, but has a sort of interesting schizophrenic character, sometimes creamy and warm, sometimes thin and acidic.
