Dark and partly cloudly scarlet in complexion. The nose is warm and ripe, very much dominated by blackberry and black cherry. Also white pepper and dark chocolate. Classical aussie shiraz nose. Strong acid and soft tannins give this a good backbackbone. Juicy and smooth but slightly high on alcohol and not complex. Lots of dark ripe fruits in the long finish. Should be great in a year or three. On day 3 there is a touch of celery on the nose.
Dark cherry and mullberry fruits mix wonderfully with the rich chocolate mocha flavours. Leather spice and savoury ripe tannins lead to a cool long finish . Enjoy with herb spring lamb, osso bucco or rich tomato based dishes.
