Medium bodied clear red colour. Bushy nose of plum and spice. Quite simple though. In the mouth there are toasted plums, but fairly simple acids and plain tannins. Also an artificial perfumed wood note. Not overbearing though. Short finish. It's a nice quaffing wine.
Day 3: Still drinking very well, the wood note has gone. This wine would be great for parties.
This Merlot features spicy plum fruit aromas highlighted by cinnomon and mocha characteristics from partial oak maturation. The flavoured palate is velvety with black currant and ripe plum flavours mingling with vanilla and clove notes. An excellent partner to gourmet pizza or roasted duck.
