Inky deep red with a slightly roasted look. A strong spy cedar note coats rich mullberries and black currants. White pepper and licorice. Chalk and silk is the texture. Roasted plum, but also stewed gherkin. The cedar is noticable, but not as vanilla, more like christmas spice. Strong, fairly coarse tannins and sour acids on the mid palate, with flavours of corinthian currants in mince pies. Nicely complex, but not a bombshell.
