Medium red in hue, with a cloudy touch. On the nose you notice fresh strawberry and cherry, rosemary and new leather but not overly fruity. The grapes were well ripened at harvest. Very nice balance on the palate, with fine grained tannins, medium acids and tangy toasted fruits. Smooth and medium in length with perhaps a little too much alcohol on the back end. Mellow, not full bodied or pushy. Keep a couple of years, no more, since the fruit wont hold out. As it airs new notes appear such as vanilla and apple.
Intense ruby-red colour, delicate perfume, elegant, harmonious, full-tasting fruity and vanilla tones. A very versatile wine going well with red meats and seasoned cheeses but is not challenged by elaborate dishes either.
After typical processing with the grape skins for 12 - 15 days the wine is kept in medium-size Slavonian oak casks and smaller French oak barrels for about 8 -10 months during which time malolactic fermentation occurs.
