This wine is quite floral on the nose with distinctive vanila notes from the oak. Also a little meaty. The tast is of dried black berries with strong acid and tannin notes. Very unbalanced and a bit too artificial for me.

Attractive clear garnet color. Yeast aromas ala Vegemite is the first impression you get, followed by a deep black fruit smell. Medium bodied and smooth. The fruit flavours are sour and savoury, with blackberry at the core. Tannins kick in towards the end, still slightly rough. Overall quite balanced, but not top of the tree. More of a food wine, rich dark meat like venison would work well. Much better than the 05.
