Deep red with a crimson hue, dark but not cloudy in the center. The aromas are quite subdued. Full bodied flavours of toasted ripe black berries. Long medium grain tanins with strong acidic structure. Quite full on due to the strong tanins. It will hold up well against rich food, like a good steak or pate.
