Rich deep red black. Strong warm rich toasted dark berries. Licorice, cedar, caramel cream. Very inviting. Toasted bitter dark fruits. Not overly sweet. Strong smoky note. Pepper and spice. Puckery acids. Medium tanins. Long with acid dominating. Nice and interesting, especially the smoky note. Good complexity in the flavours. Perhaps just a tad too much acid, so this wine needs a couple more years in the cellar. French influences.

Full dense red with vibrant crimson highlights. Attractive ripe Cabernet Sauvignon fruit nose with cassis and integrated oak. In time this wine will develop cedary characters as the lovely primary fruit is allowed to mature. The palate has excellent richness which reflects the warmer vintage but still retains the elegance expected of Leconfield Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon. The tannins are quite long and ripe with good texture which should carry the wine forward over the next decade.
