Deep Red Purple. Powerful aromas of rich ripe blackcurrant greet you. Aussie licorice and a hint of vanila. Milder than the taste implies although still gutsy. The dark fruits are a little subdued compared to strong acids. Fine tanins. Cream-Cherry. Long. Smooth. Nice actually. The fruit comes out toward the end.
Intense lifted aromatics of plum, Christmas pudding and chocolate complemented by subtle, spicy oak characters. Palate is soft and fleshy with plummy, chocolate and blackberry flavours. These sweet fruit characters are supported by a fine chalky tannin structure. The palate displays excellent length finishing soft and savoury. Drink now or cellar with confidence for five to eight years.
