Nice flavours of cherry, red plum with a toasted notes. Quite floral, with vanila oak at a just bearable level. Smooth medium tannins and a puckery juicy acidity. Fruit forward to the finish. Not that complex, but nice drinking. When I look back at my rating from 9 months ago, I can see that it has mellowed out noticably.
Dark ruby red, thick and deep in the center. Ripe to overripe blackberries and blueberries, pepper. In the mouth you find puckery acids, quite fruity but not sweet. In fact the acid is a bit overbearing at the end. Good coarse grain tanins. Big, full bodied, and hot at the end. This wine has heavy, fruit bomb aspirations. It's brutish and confident but also unbalanced. Eat with a great fillet steak.
