Dark cloudy red with a hint of purple. Alcohol, fresh ripe but not overripe red cherries. Creamy. Quite closed. Tangy and creamy toasted dark cherries. Fine tannins, good acid. Creamy Toffee, like Werthers Original. Long with acid dominating, but nice rich fruity flavours to the end. Warm and creamy with lots of flavour and character. A fine wine.

I've always like this wine, but the 2004 is something else. Bursting with flavour and a good lick of acid. Garnacha with 15% Syrah thats aged in french and american oak for 10 months. Its very reasonably priced for what it is too. This wine jumps out of the bottle with a great nose of blackberry and dark cherry, a bit of smoke, orange blossom and woody herbs. A tonne of tart fruits: blackberry, dark cherry and plum. Add to this a mix of minerals, earth and some sage. Tannins don't stand out at the moment, well integrated and balanced. Don't worry about cellaring, you could of course, but buy a few to drink now. 90 Pts.

This wine exhibits a fine array of blackcherry, spice and mineral aromas with a hint of blackfruits liquer. Medium to full-body with grip tannins and good acidity which makes it a perfect food-wine. The 2004 "Lasendal" or also called "Mas Donis Barrica" is 85% Garnacha from 80+-year-old vines and 15% Syrah aged for 8 months in French and American oak. Drink in the next 1-3 years. Superb value for 9 Euro! 87-88
