Dark red purple. Distinctive bordeaux aromas. Subdued fruit, more spicy with a bit of vegetable. The grapes are nicely ripe. Fine tanins and subtle acids. Long and balanced. Has a slight wet straw taste to it. This reminds me a lot of the Lafon Rochet wines. Impressive Aussie imitation of a french wine. It is a bit hard to take though, coming as it does amidst a binge on Aussie wines on holiday.

Supple, generous, and beautifully focused to show off its vibrant blackberry, currant, and gently smoky aromas and flavors that echo with hints of coffee and chocolate on the finish. Drink now through 2008.

A Bordeaux-style blend (again, nothing from Bordeaux ever tasted like this) of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot, given the full American oak treatment. The lovely rich nose of creamy, elegant blackcurrant fruit is lovely and open, with some herby, leafy notes and a touch of spice. The palate shows concentrated, rich fruit with a touch of spicy oak. Quite lush, with great concentration and class. Very good/excellent
