No notes taken. I vaguely remember it being nice but perhaps too young.

Notes
Alcohol: 14%
I’ve seen this wine a couple of times in the past fortnight – time for a note methinks. According to the Penfolds website, the wine was matured in a combination of new and old French and American oak. Not the most useful information I’ve seen. Anyway, the wine itself is a deep red in colour. The nose is relatively simple, with red fruits, black olives, vanilla and a bit of sap. The palate shows red plum fruits and cinnamon, and some milk chocolate creaminess. The tannins are medium grained, neither being fine or clunky. The oak is still a bit firm and aggressive at the moment, so give it more time or a decant if you are impatient. There is a bit of interest there, and probably reasonable value for money.
