A blend of shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and merlot with a dog playing cricket with one of the legs from the Devils Lair label. I just realised. Quite funny really.
Very intense smelling wine with blueberry, vanilla, spice, sweet black licorice and blonde tobacco. On the palate, again, plenty of juicy blue and red fruit, spice, vanilla and tobacco with chalky fine tannins and clean fresh acid. Finishes dry with flavours of licorice root and spice. Lets not muck about, bistro or no bistro, pizza loving 30 something friends or pizza loving 20 something friends, it does not matter. This is an excellent wine and it delivers plenty at the price. If a bottle turned up at dinner my reaction on tasting a glass would be - yeah, this is good, say when
