Deep, clear red brown, almost oily in appearance. Ripe to overripe toasted cherries. Fresh strong notes of citrus. Quite bitter, with burnt cherry flavours. Very long with an interesting mix of acid and puckery tannins and the concentrated fruits. An interesting wine, with the concentrated fruity sweet flavours of the dried grapes, but also good balance of tannic and acidic aspects.
