Densely coloured., this smells rather opulent with creamy dark oak and black cherry. A big wine with firm dense, mouth coating tannins and lots of ripe berry fruit hiding behind the oak structure and a good signature of pepper and spice that lingers on the finish. A richly concentrated wine with excellent potential. French oak suits this wine very well. 18/20. 01.04.2002

Dense and vibrant red, bordering a purple core. Dark spices and tobacco intertwine with generous blackberry and blueberry fruits. Complex notes of cedar, clove and charcuterie abound, creating an impressive aromatic Shiraz offering. Defined, concentrated and tight, very much in keeping with the Bin 128 style. Wild raspberry fruit intensity is laced with nutmeg and clove spices, with an appealing, interwoven tannin and oak structure supporting the overall palate and adding to a long, persistent finish. A 'warm vintage' interpretation of this classic wine style, allowing extended cellaring potential, if desired.
