Deep purple red all the way to the rim of the glass. Ripe blackcurrant with intense spicy peppery notes. Strong wooded notes, but more like chips than barrels. Tangy toasted currants, almost overripe. Pepper again. Rounded. Short to medium with low tannins and acid. Unbalanced with overcompensated oaks. An uncomplicated wine for drinking now that tries to be pretentious and fails.

Purple red. More fruit on the nose than in the taste. Not much tanin and a short finish. Perhaps a little too light for a Shiraz, almost European. This used to be one of my favourites. Now I think that there are better bottles at this price.
